Too many people, even high income earners, are dependent on a regular paycheck to make ends meet. If they are laid off or otherwise unable to work, they have no way to maintain their lifestyle and can quickly fall into a financial crisis. Even when working, the stress of needing the job can force them into making decisions that are not in their best interest, taking them further away from the things that are most important to them.

By providing financial education and helping you generate passive income streams, MBC empowers you to reduce and ultimately eliminate your reliance on a paycheck. This gives you the freedom to spend time on the things you value most.

Abundance: There are more than enough opportunities for everyone to be successful. We believe in “expanding the pie” and helping you achieve your goals. As a result, we focus first on understanding what you need from your investments, then figuring out how to help you get that. That help can take many forms: providing information about alternative asset investing and answering your specific questions, opportunities to co-invest with us in syndications managed by others, or even leveraging our network to make introductions when appropriate.

Freedom: Time is our most valuable asset. To us, freedom represents the ability to spend your time how you choose, doing the things that are most important to you. In order to have true freedom, you need to have enough income that you can spend your time in ways that align with your priorities and goals. We help you establish passive streams of income so that you don’t have to trade your time for money and can become free to live your best life.

Community: Life is more fun when spent with people you like, sharing common experiences and moving towards complementary goals. Investing is a team sport and we intentionally participate in multiple, overlapping communities. While many view real estate as a transactional business, we look to build long term relationships with our colleagues and business partners. While we want MBC to be part of your investment community, we also want to give you the resources to fully participate in other communities that are meaningful to you.

Reliability: Getting what you want in life doesn’t happen quickly or easily. It takes hard work, applied consistently, over long periods of time. You need to show up reliably, again and again, through good times and bad. We look for investments that do the same. We are building a portfolio that will generate steady returns for 20+ years, through multiple economic cycles. MBC takes the responsibility of being an advisor seriously.

MBC Real Estate Investing

I have been employed in the tech industry for over 25 years. During that time, I have seen multiple cycles (ie industry-wide layoffs), with the 2022 layoffs hitting many people I know.

I have discovered that I am in better financial shape than many of my colleagues because I have multiple streams of passive income that will allow me to continue to live a reasonable lifestyle even if I don’t have a job.   

That has given me a level of comfort that I want to share. While I don’t wish layoffs on anyone, having a stable source of income in turbulent times allows you to weather the storm without undue worry.  It also has a myriad of benefits around retirement planning and ultimately can enable you to have the lifestyle you have always wanted. 

MBC Real Estate Investing (REI) was established to share the knowledge that I have gained over 30+ years of real estate investing with people who are focused on their careers but interested in building a stable foundation for their finances over the long term.

MBC isn’t for people who want to be actively involved in their real estate investments, or for people looking to make a quick buck. It is for accredited investors who want to establish multiple streams of passive income while continuing to develop their career, interests, and life outside of real estate.

Our focus is to provide financial education about, in particular in private real estate deals. By sharing my investment strategy, there is the opportunity to invest alongside me if your investment strategy aligns with mine.
